We endeavor to understand mineral nutrient use efficiency and signaling systems with emphasis on Zinc and Nitrogen (ammonium-N & nitrate-N). Dr. Hacisalihoglu Lab aims to close this knowledge gap by using physiological, genetic / epigenetic, and molecular biology tools in plant species including beans, Arabidopsis, and maize. In collaboration with colleagues at Florida State University, we undertook a fw genetic based screen to identify genes playing role in RdDM & anthocyanin pathway.
